NEA Jazz Master and legendary saxophonist, Jimmy Heath leads his singular big band, a multi-generational ensemble comprised of noted jazz artists, next generation players, and rising stars of today. Basie, Ellington, Foster, music from their new CD, Togetherness, and a few surprises are brought to the bandstand for a grand musical journey celebrating the Harlem Renaissance and its aftermath. Presented in collaboration with Jazzmobile.
