Description

In a moment when reality often feels like science fiction, the Thalia Book Club revisits a classic that imagined what artificial intelligence might look like when it appeared. Marie-Helene Bertino (Exit Zero, Beautyland) leads a panel including Rivka Galchen (Everyone Knows Your Mother Is a Witch) and Alice Sola Kim (The Year's Best Science Fiction and Fantasy) in discussing Clarke's enduring novel about space exploration, the perils of technology, and the limits of human power.

This event includes a discussion and an audience Q&A, but does not include a book signing.
