Professor of Literature at MIT, and Whiting, Guggenheim, and NEA award–winning artist, author, and poet Joshua Bennett celebrates his latest book. With stunning prose and grace, The People Can Fly is an ode to leading figures in Black culture, art, and politics as well as Joshua’s own journey as a child who was called one "of our nation's most gifted performers" by none other than Barack Obama.
