In 2024, author George Saunders received the distinct honor of having three works listed among the New York Times 100 Best Books of the 21st Century. In 2026, he returns to Symphony Space to discuss his latest novel Vigil with Suleika Jaouad (The Book of Alchemy). Brimming with Saunders' signature wit and wisdom, Vigil follows an oil baron's journey from this life to the next, offering insight on capitalism, corporate greed, and the question of absolution. This event includes a reading from the book by Samantha Bee and an audience Q&A.
