This Is About Us is a contemporary, comedic, play about a skilled actor who in hopes of finding holiday work ends up auditioning for the local church play. The story follows a diverse group of church artists as they all prepare for their church’s annual Christmas drama. What begins as a simple rehearsal quickly spirals into a whirlwind of interpersonal conflict, theological debates, artistic disagreements, and unexpected moments of vulnerability.
This Is About Us speaks directly to the creatives, the believers, the doubters, and everyone who has ever questioned their place in God’s plan. It reframes holiday theatre and what we think we know about us.
