Students experience excitement and substance with word and rhythm games, rhyming wordplay, discussion, and improvisational collaborations with peers. Individually, the student thinks critically by drafting and revising ideas to build a personal story or poem. The teaching artist guides them through the process of assessment, revision, rehearsing, presenting, and reflection on their spoken word piece.
