Dance
Spring is dance season at Symphony Space. Our repertoire includes Thalia Dance, focusing on dancer/choreographer teams who couple text and movement, along with our signature special event, The Dance Sampler, a mini-marathon that you can drop in on any time to catch a glimpse or a couple of hours of the joy of movement, from classical to contemporary.

American Repertory Ballet presents: Sinatra, Shadows and Stars
Experience an outstanding evening of dance with American Repertory Ballet featuring two new works by The Company’s Artistic Director, Graham Lustig, and international choreographer, Lisa de Ribere, in addition to two works by Twyla Tharp.

Rarely seen in New York, in this “fully abstract” ballet, Tharp presents men and women in equal measure numerically, but shows off the women somewhat more prominently using the music of bassist Edgar Meyer.
