Description
Sometimes remembered as the “third genius” of silent comedy, Harold Lloyd was first at the box office in the 1920s. For many years Safety Last (1923) and The Freshman (1925) were his most popular films, but today The Kid Brother (1927) appears to be Lloyd’s crowning achievement. Marvelous gag sequences are organically placed in a story that’s the final summation of Harold’s favorite theme of the young man who has to prove himself. Opening the show is Charley Chase having canine trouble in Dog Shy (1926).
