Artists Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr.

Join the JCC for our annual presentation of powerful work by artists whose vision coincides with King's voice for justice, peace and civil rights.

The evening will be emceed by Ruth Messinger, with a keynote address by Rev. Dr. Suzan D. Johnson Cook.

Acclaimed jazz musician Craig Harris and ensemble performs excerpts from God's Trombones, a jubilant musical extravaganza that brings to life the teachings of black preachers.

Dynamic choreographer Bridget Moore's Remembrance of Things Past, performed by Juel Lane, spins the text of King's Drum Major speech with dance and video.

Vocalists Neshama Carlebach and Reverend Hambrick with members of the Green Pastures Baptist Church Choir mix up the sounds of Carlebach and African American spirituals.
