The health and safety of all are our top priorities. Symphony Space requires that all staff, artists, and patrons be vaccinated and that everyone (except performers on stage) wear masks while in the building.

How To Buy Tickets

We look forward to seeing you at Symphony Space. Below you’ll find answers to frequently asked ticketing questions, and if you still need help, we will happily assist. Please e-mail our Box Office should you have any questions.

Purchasing tickets


Phone: Our Box Office phone number is 212.864.5400. The Box Office phone line is open Tuesday-Saturday, 1PM-6PM, with some exceptions around holidays.

In Person: Tickets may be purchased at our Box Office, located in our lobby. The Box Office hours for in person purchases are Tuesday-Saturday, 2PM-6PM. The Box Office is also open around our events at Symphony Space, and is open until one half-hour after the event begins.

Please note that there is a $5.00 service fee on all tickets.

If you run into any issues during the purchasing process, please reach out to our Box Office via e-mail. The Symphony Space Box Office will reopen live phone lines and in-person sales this October. Please continue to check our website for updates.

Ticket Delivery

Tickets will be delivered via e-mail and text message.

E-Ticket(s) will be delivered to you moments after your purchase. You will be e-mailed a PDF which contains your ticket(s) and a QR code, which will be scanned at the theater upon entry. Please feel free to print these tickets in advance of your arrival, or have them ready to present on your mobile device at Symphony Space. Your ticket PDF also includes information on Symphony Space’s Covid-19 Protocols. Find out more by visiting:

Tickets by text message: On the day of the event, tickets will be sent via text message to all patrons with a valid mobile phone number on file. The tickets will include a QR code, which can be scanned at the theater upon entry. To add your mobile phone number to your account, click here.

Bringing Children to an Event

Fully vaccinated children are welcome at Symphony Space with proof of vaccination, valid photo ID, and a ticket. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate unvaccinated children at this time. Please continue to check our website for updates.

Group Discounts

For many events, discounts are available for groups of fifteen people or more. To inquire about group tickets, please email [email protected].

Please note that seats for group sales will not be reserved until payment is received. The group contact person will be responsible for e-ticket distribution. We look forward to welcoming you and your group to Symphony Space.

Holding Seats

Seats cannot be held without payment. All sales are final.

Late Arrival:

Purchasing tickets guarantees seats will be held and guarantees admission as the performance allows. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager. Reserved seat locations are not guaranteed past curtain time.

Cancellations and Refunds

If a show is cancelled, the Box Office will contact you to process your refund.

If you are showing any signs of illness, please do not come to the theater. If you alert the Box Office via e-mail that you are ill in advance of your show, we will either issue a full refund or a credit, at the discretion of the Box Office.

If a show is not cancelled due to weather, no refunds or exchanges will be issued. In the case of severe weather, e-mail the Box Office for more information regarding a possible cancellation.

All artists are subject to change. If a performer withdraws from a performance and is replaced with another performer, no refunds will be given.
