How To Buy Tickets

Tickets to events at Symphony Space can be purchased on our website, by phone, or in person, unless otherwise noted.

Purchasing tickets


Phone: Our Box Office phone number is 212.864.5400. The Box Office phone line is open Tuesday-Sunday, 1PM-6PM, with some exceptions around holidays.

In Person: Tickets may be purchased at our Box Office, located in our lobby. The Box Office hours for in person purchases are Tuesday-Sunday, 1PM-6PM. The Box Office is also open around our events at Symphony Space, and is open until one half-hour after the event begins.

Ticket Delivery

Your tickets can be delivered to you in a variety of methods, and you'll have the chance to select your preference while ordering tickets at Symphony Space.

Print at Home/Mobile Tickets will be delivered to you moments after your purchase. You will be e-mailed a PDF which contains your tickets. The tickets will have a QR code on them, which will be scanned at the theater. Please feel free to print these tickets out on a printer, or have them ready to present on your mobile device at Symphony Space.

Mailing tickets can also be accommodated. To ensure that the tickets arrive to you prior to your show, order your tickets at least two weeks in advance of the performance.

Will Call, or tickets to pick up, may also be left with us. Your tickets may be picked up any time the Box Office is open. When picking them up, you'll be asked to provide a valid ID. If you are picking up your tickets on the night of your show, we suggest picking them up at least a half hour prior to curtain so that there is ample time for you to enter the theater and get comfortable.

Student tickets

Student Tickets, which are available to some Symphony Space performances, can generally be purchased through all channels, and can be picked up at the Box Office. So that we can verify your student status, we ask that you kindly present us with your student ID when picking up your tickets.

Bringing Children to an Event

All children ages one and older must have a paid ticket. Policies vary for different shows regarding admittance of children under five years of age. Please inquire before purchasing tickets.

Group Discounts

For many events, discounts are available for groups of fifteen people or more. Please note that seats for group sales will not be reserved until payment is received. The Box Office will not mail tickets purchased at a group rate, and group members can not pick up their tickets individually. The group contact person must pick up the tickets at the Symphony Space Box Office.

Holding Seats

Seats cannot be held without payment. All sales are final.

Late Arrival:

Purchasing tickets guarantees seats will be held and guarantees admission as the performance allows. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager. Reserved seat locations are not guaranteed past curtain time.

Cancellations and Refunds

If a show is cancelled, the Box Office will contact you to process your refund.


If a show is not cancelled, no refunds or exchanges will be issued. In the case of severe snow or ice, call the Box Office for more information regarding a possible cancellation.


All artists are subject to change. If a performer withdraws from a performance and is replaced with another performer, no refunds will be given.
