2017 marks the seventieth anniversary of the blacklist—in which hundreds of actors, directors, and other film artists were denied employment in Hollywood—although no Hollywood studios or producers would publicly admit that such a blacklist even existed.

Christine Pedi, one of the hosts of the Sirius XM On Broadway channel (whose late cousin Tom Pedi was a victim of the blacklist), will moderate a panel of those who experienced the blacklist firsthand: Academy Award®-winning actress Lee Grant and others whose careers suffered as a result of the blacklist—as well as the sons and daughters of well- known performers (including Zero Mostel, Jack Gilford, and John Garfield) who were blacklisted. Television and film clips will be shown prior to the conversation.
