Description

One of the most popular silent screen stars, Colleen Moore arrived in Hollywood at age fourteen in 1916—by 1923, she was a star. With her trademark bobbed hairdo she appeared in star vehicles like Irene (1926), Twinkletoes (1926), and Orchids and Ermine. Ella Cinders (1926) is her best-remembered film: a story about making it in Hollywood, generously peppered with sight-gag sequences. Opening the program for Ms. Moore are Dorothy Devore in Twas Midnight (1919) and Gale Henry in One Day in Hollywood (1924).
