Presenting The Pedro Project: an intimate evening of songs from & inspired by the films of Pedro Almodóvar. Featuring vocalist Kate Chaston, with Adam Fisher on cello and Ethan Mann on guitar.

Kate Chaston. With a musician's keen ear, a knack for storytelling, and rich vocals, New York-based chanteuse and songwriter Kate Chaston engages audiences with her unique blend of cabaret-, pop-, and blues-infused jazz. Whether singing her own haunting, lyrical compositions or interpreting others' work, Ms. Chaston has had the honor of making music with some of New York City's finest instrumentalists, including bassist Danton Boller (Roy Hargrove, Seamus Blake), pianist Ben Stivers (Chris Botti, Robin McKelle), guitarist Al Street (Robin McKelle, Kat Edmonson), and drummer Brian Wolfe (Aloe Blacc, Sharon Jones). Recently, she partnered with producers Scott Sharrard (Gregg Allman, Levon Helm) and Charlie Martinez (Steely Dan, Donald Fagen) to release a self-titled EP.

Adam Fisher. A rare combination of cellist, composer, and vocalist, Adam Fisher writes music that moves freely between jazz, tango, and classical styles. A graduate of Juilliard and Harvard University, Mr. Fisher appears regularly at New York venues such as Symphony Space, Joe's Pub, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the Jazz Standard. He was a featured composer on the inaugural season of the Flea Theater's "Music With a View" series, and has performed his original compositions at Carnegie Hall. As a vocalist, he leads his own band, Adam and the Argentinians, performing his hilarious and poetic animal songs.

Ethan Mann. Ethan is a guitarist, bandleader, sideman, composer and educator. Past performances include gigs at Dizzy's, Birdland, Iridium, 55 Bar and Smoke. He appears every Monday at The Carlyle Hotel. Mann accompanies many wonderful singers including Marianne Solivan, Marion Cowings and Brianna Thomas. He teaches guitar and has been a member of the jazz faculty at Crestwood Music Education Center in Eastchester since 2003 and at Manna House Workshops in East Harlem since 1999.
