On the first Sunday of each month, the Iron Mule Short Comedy series serves up a collection of the funniest short films from around the world, including animation, web series, and narrative shorts. Celebrate funny and inventive short cinema with hosts Jay Stern and Victor Varnado along with a rotating collective of filmmakers and film lovers. Every show includes the world premiere of the latest "Wanna Be a Star" film, which places one lucky audience member from the month prior's show in a film with a different director each month. The title of this film is yelled out by the fastest talking audience member. After the films, chat with visiting filmmakers, then mingle with them and fellow audience members in Symphony Space's Bar Thalia, featuring $5 drink specials.

About Iron Mule:
The Iron Mule Short Comedy Screening Series was founded in April 2002 in New York. The name The Iron Mule is derived from the 1925 slapstick comedy of the same name by the great silent comedian Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, featuring Buster Keaton as an Indian. The name also encapsulates the kind of movies we love to show: tough, burly, and uncompromising.

Guest Judge: Bonnie & Maude
Bonnie & Maude is a monthly film podcast in which hosts Eleanor Kagan and Kseniya Yarosh take on films and television shows from a femme-centric perspective.
