A young man ignorant of everything, including his own name, arrives at the Kingdom of the Holy Grail. Is he the ‘pure fool, enlightened by compassion', who, it has been prophesied, will purify the kingdom? (Approx. Runtime 5 Hours, 30 Minutes).

There will be a live interview with Wagner expert and Juilliard Professor John J. H. Muller at intermission, moderated by Naomi Lewin.

John J. H. Muller has been the English language lecturer at the Wagner festival in Bayreuth for the past four summers. He is a Professor of Music History at The Juilliard School, where he teaches a wide variety of courses for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as for adult laymen. He is a noted lecturer for the Metropolitan Opera Guild, for which he presented talks during the Kirov Ring and for many of the Metropolitan Opera Ring cycles. He has also lectured for other organizations, including the Wagner Society of New York and the American Psychoanalytic Association. His essay on Parsifal appeared in Wagner Outside the Ring.
