Edgy. Rhythmic. Rhapsodic. Eastern Europe meets Latin America with U.S. premieres by Polish composers Pawel Mykietyn (who will be in attendance for this rare performance) and Pawel Szymanski; NY premiere of Cuban-American Tania León’s Esencia; and Mexican Gabriela Ortiz’s Quartet No. 1.
