  NYCLU: Voices for Change

Spend an evening of funky, folky, fantastic fun with Nellie McKay and other young and emerging artists to benefit the New York Civil Liberties Union and honor the long-standing link between music and social change.

Starring Nellie McKay, “Voices” brings together established and up-and-coming artists to celebrate, protect, and practice the principle of free expression – a cornerstone of civil liberties. Critics agree that Nellie is one of a kind. At the piano, she pulls out “a sultry jazz croon, a singer-songwriter’s naturalism, a crisp operetta declamation and a rapper’s fast rhymes.” Don’t miss this opportunity to catch her at her best: in a live, intimate performance.

Also performances by Jenny Bruce, Clinton Curtis, Megan, Fogarty, Rachael Sage, Liana Stampur and Lucy Woodward.

Venue: Leonard Nimoy Thalia
Tickets: $30; Student $20; Members $25
