Description
Announcing the University Glee Club of New York City’s 262nd Members’ Concert on Saturday, May 2nd at 8:00 PM
Since 1894, alumni of countless universities and colleges have contributed to the UGC’s legacy of fellowship, choral tradition and musical artistry. On May 2nd, the UGC will be recorded live in concert for the first time in its long history! Under the direction of visionary conductor Francisco J. Núñez, the UGC will present a program spanning UGC’s diverse musical repertoire — classic choral favorites, lively Broadway melodies, original compositions commissioned by the UGC, and soul-stirring male vocal renditions of pop anthems. Also appearing will be the 2026 winners of UGC’s “Hambone Cup” barbershop quartet contest, performing their prize-winning songs!
This concert is a milestone in the UGC’s 132-year history. Audience enthusiasm will be captured for posterity on recordings intended for future digital release.
Join us on May 2nd at 8:00 pm to help the UGC celebrate the enduring power of song!
