The Association of Classical Musicians and Artists (ACMA) is a vibrant community of both amateur and professional classical musicians, and is the largest such organization in New York. We are dedicated to giving adult musicians the opportunity to perform in front of an appreciative and supportive audience, and we currently count nearly 3,000 members.
Our very first Music Festival celebrates the gradual return of normalcy, socialization and live music in our lives, while acknowledging the great toll this pandemic has taken in our community, and seeks to rise above and rebuild by doing what we do best - taking the stage!
The Festival will include the ACMA Orchestra performing works by Verdi, Tchaikovsky, George Walker and others. We are very fortunate to have the spectacular Lesbian and Gay Big Apple Corps Symphonic Band performing as part of this concert. Lastly, several of ACMA’s finest musicians will perform solo and chamber works. This will take place over 3 hours, with several brief intermissions.
