L’Héritage Musical marks the final performance of Vincent Koh as Music Director of the World Civic Orchestra, honoring his legacy as founder and his 15 years of visionary leadership. The program opens with Mozart’s effervescent Overture to The Marriage of Figaro, setting the stage for Brahms’ majestic Double Concerto, featuring Stefani Matsuo and Hiro Matsuo—concertmaster and cellist of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. The evening culminates with Chausson’s rarely performed Symphony in B-flat major, a lush, expressive work that offers a poignant and powerful farewell to Maestro Koh’s remarkable tenure.
