Arooj Aftab

Description

MASKS ARE REQUIRED: PLEASE NOTE THAT EVERYONE 2 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER (EXCEPT ARTISTS WHILE PERFORMING) MUST WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN THE BUILDING.

Join us for an evening of music from renowned composer, vocalist, and producer, Arooj Aftab, brought to you by "The Qalam Pakistan Initiative at the History Department" and the "Center for Study of Muslim Societies" at Columbia University. A Brooklyn-based Pakistani artist, Arooj's distinctive musical dialect draws on jazz, minimalism and neo-Sufi sounds.

Please note: This event is sold out, and there are no tickets available at this time
For members of the public who have made reservations: We wanted to let you know that this concert is a Columbia University community event, but we also have opened it up to the general public to give as many folks as possible a chance to see Arooj in concert.

That being said, reservation of a general admission ticket does NOT guarantee a seat -- seating will be first come first served, and the theater has a limited number of seats. Thanks for your understanding and we'll make best efforts to fit as many people in as we can on October 19th!
