The popular comedy debate series invites two teams of funny folks from the worlds of stand-up and late-night television to tackle topics of great importance to pop culture, such as which pet is superior--cats or dogs--and is it better to be comfortable or fashionable? New York based comedian Rob Cantrell's television credits include Girls5eva, The Last O.G., and The Colbert Report, and he has written on numerous projects for Adult Swim, Vice, High Times and Comedy Central. Cantrell has performed live at SXSW, Bonnaroo, and the New York Comedy Festival, among other venues. His latest comedy album, Pure Uncut Joy, was recorded in Brooklyn, NY for 800 Pound Gorilla Records.
John Fugelsang is a political commentator, comedian, TV and radio personality, performer, and writer. He was the host of America’s Funniest Home Videos and has appeared frequently on news commentary shows on CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, Fox News, and NPR. Currently, he hosts Tell Me Everything on the SiriusXM Insight Channel. He appears in the features The Girl on the Train, Maggie Black, and The Whole Truth. In 2016, his film Dream On was named Best Documentary at the NY Independent Film Festival.
Janeane Garofalo is an activist, actor, and comedian known for her memorable and critically acclaimed roles in films such as The Truth About Cats and Dogs, Steal This Movie, Copland, Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, Reality Bites, and Wet Hot American Summer. She was instrumental in the successful launch of the first liberal radio network, Air America Radio, where she hosted her own talk show, The Majority Report.
Sam Kebede is a first generation Ethiopian/Eritrean-American from Southern California. He's performed at and had his works presented at venues including The Public, Ars Nova, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, and the Venice International Film Festival. His award winning play ETHIOPIANAMERICA premiered at Victory Garden Theater in Chicago, and he currently writes for the show Tough Bobas, an anti-communist series shot and produced in Taiwan. Sam also loves to perform stand up, and has an hour long set titled "I'm Ostracized because I'm Ostrich-Sized." You can also stream his solo show Lack History through Ars Nova Supra. Sam holds a MFA in Acting and a BS in Neuroscience.
Matthew Love is a performer and writer whose bylines has appeared in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Vulture, LitHub, American Theatre, Village Voice, The Onion, AV Club, and Time Out New York, where he was formerly the Comedy and Books editor. He's currently a consulting producer for Selected Shorts and its spin-off podcast, Too Hot for Radio. He has interviewed or hosted shows featuring Chris Rock, David Byrne, Parker Posey, Jordan Peele, Stephen Colbert, Tig Notaro, and many, many more. Love is putting finishing touches on his “grandma noir” novel, Tough Old Birds.
Carmen Lynch is a New York-based stand-up comedian who’s been on a string of late-night TV shows, including The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and Conan. She is featured in the documentary Hysterical on Hulu and in HA Festival: The Art of Comedy on HBO Max. Her new comedy album, Vertically Obese, can be found on all mainstream platforms as well as her podcast The Human CentiPOD, which also airs on SiriusXM.
Rojo Perez made his late night standup debut on Conan and has since appeared on Comedy Knockout, Decoded, Univision's FLAMA, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, HBO Latino's standup special Entre Nos: Spot On, and Comedy Central's Tight Five. He has performed live at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, SXSW, New York Comedy Festival, Moontower Comedy Festival, and LA Riot Comedy Festival, among others. His debut comedy album Words was released in 2021.
