SPECTRUM: Jazz & Contemporary Summer Performance

The Joffrey Ballet School Jazz & Contemporary Summer Intensive 2018 is proud to present the culmination of another successful summer of dance in New York City. The performance at Symphony Space is a fast-paced, eclectic, music video-like spectacular with works created by Tony and Emmy nominated choreographers, as well as notable and emerging New York City-based artists. The NYC Jazz/Contemporary program is the flagship Jazz & Contemporary dance intensive worldwide. Under the new artistic direction of Angelica Stiskin, the program offers the classical techniques of ballet and modern, along with the neoclassical derivatives of contemporary, improv, hip hop, theater dance, and much more. Spanning the worlds of both concert and commercial dance, dancers explore new ideas of movement and artistic excellence, harvesting a love of dance within versatility.
