Description
“Sisters Past” will celebrate historical women of color, “in music and otherwise, known and otherwise.” Paying homage to Nina Simone, Fannie Lou Hamer, Ella Fitzgerald, Ethel Waters, and more women of color who have made significant and unique contributions to our musical cannon. Rhiannon Giddens will be joined by her own sister Lalenja Harrington on spoken word and vocals, plus tap artist Robyn Watson.
