Description
This Father’s Day, we celebrate our 38th Bloomsday with a special nod to father figures and longing sons. Join host Mia Dillon and a cast of actors, musicians, and avid Joyceans for Symphony Space’s annual tribute to James Joyce and his masterpiece, Ulysses. With a brand-new whirlwind tour of the first 17 episodes created by Joyce scholar Jonathan Goldman and readings by Zach Grenier, Malachy McCourt, John Douglas Thompson, and more. Irish actress Eilin O'Dea presents her acclaimed performance of Molly Bloom. Music by Warbelow Range.
After the performance, the party continues in Bar Thalia with more merriment, music, and whiskey!
"[Eilin] O'Dea is every inch the sensualist Joyce imagined" --Irish Times (Peter Crawley)
"O'Dea brilliantly captures the nuances of Molly's rambling mind" --Sunday Business Post (Sara Keating)
"O'Dea's performance is rich, passionate and compelling" --Irish Theatre Magazine (Jessie Weaver)
"Blooming Wonderful..." --Metro/Herald
In collaboration with Irish Arts Center.
