Jelani Cobb (Three or More Is a Riot) leads a powerful evening marking the 100th anniversary of Malcolm X's birth and a new edition of The Autobiography of Malcolm X—the groundbreaking memoir that has ignited minds and movements for generations. Join us as luminaries including Nikole Hannah-Jones (The 1619 Project), James Ijames (Fat Ham), and Dr. Ilyasah Shabazz (Growing Up X) discuss the book and its mighty legacy, and actors Hampton Fluker (Shades of Blue), Dion Graham (The Wire) and Joe Morton (Scandal) perform readings that channel the spirit and brilliance of Malcolm X's voice.

There will be copies of The Autobiography of Malcolm X available for purchase.

This event features a conversation, readings performed by actors, and a Q&A with the audience, but does not include a book signing.
