For over 15 years, Symphony Space was the NYC home to family favorite, The Gustafer Yellowgold Show. In this special tribute to Gustafer founder Morgan Taylor, who passed away suddenly in 2022, artists, including Norah Jones, Matt Wilson (Trip Shakespeare), David Poe, The Pop-Ups, Joe Mailander (The Okee Dokee Brothers), Danny Weinkauf (They Might Be Giants), Jesse Harris, Justin Roberts, Frances England, Billy Kelly, and Morgan’s wife, Rachel Loshak, accompanied by long-time NYC Gustafer bandmates, Rob Jost and Dan Rieser, perform work from the brilliant mind of Taylor about his bright, shining friend from the sun.
Proceeds from ticket sales for this event will go to Morgan Taylor's family, with a portion being donated to the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance (DPAA) Q the Music program in Taylor’s hometown of Dayton, Ohio. Q the Music is an El Sistema inspired daily after-school string orchestra program that supports the musical, academic and social growth of at-promise youth in the Dayton community.
The release of the brand new double yellow vinyl album, Best of Gustafer Yellowgold, which includes an album of fan-voted favorite original recordings and friends' interpretations of their favorite Gustafer songs, will be available for purchase on the day of the show.
