J.J. Abrams presents S., a brand-new novel and multi-layered literary puzzle he developed with novelist Doug Dorst, PEN/Hemingway and Shirley Jackson Award nominee. The two writers will be in conversation with Lena Dunham (Girls). J.J. Abrams has created, written, directed, or produced television shows such as the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning Lost, Alias, and Felicity and films including Star Trek, Super 8, Cloverfield, and Mission: Impossible. Sarah Vowell (Unfamiliar Fishes, This American Life) will introduce the event.
Event includes a conversation between Abrams and Dorst, followed by a signing. Co-presented with 826NYC, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting students ages 6-18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.
NO memorabilia, DVDs, or other books will be allowed in the signing. Due to time constraints, Mr. Abrams and Mr. Dorst will not be able to personalize any book signatures, and there will be no photography permitted during the signing.
Due to artists' time constraints, Symphony Space cannot guarantee that ticket holders who purchase after 3pm on Friday, November 22 will be able to participate in the signing. A number of pre-signed books will be available for sale before the event, and we encourage you to buy one of these books.
