Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, founded by Pete Seeger, honors musician and activist David Amram with the Power of Song Award. Featured performers include Pete Seeger, Cuban jazz saxophone legend Paquito D'Rivera, folk stalwarts Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul & Mary), Tom Paxton, John Sebastian and Josh White, Jr., jazz pianist and founder of the Newport Jazz and Folk Festivals George Wein, bluesman Guy Davis, New Orleans jazz and gospel pianist/singer great Henry Butler, Native American artists Matoaka Little Eagle and Powhatan Swift Eagle, the David Amram Quartet, Clearwater's Power of Song youth apprentices and the Face The Music Quartet.

The evening begins at 6:30pm with the world premiere of the film David Amram: The First 80 Years directed by Lawrence Kraman. The music portion starts at 8:30pm.

All proceeds benefit Clearwater's Environmental Education Programs.
