Can an author pack a punch or move you to tears in three pages or less? Join us for a night of Selected (really short!) Shorts as we prove that small can be mighty and less can be more. With readings by Sonia Manzano (Sesame Street), Bruce Altman (Mr. Robot), Sarah Steele (The Humans; The Good Wife), John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Maulik Pancholy (30 Rock), and Kaneza Schaal (Elevator Repair Service). 

 

Stories will include five original works of Flash Fiction commissioned by Selected Shorts and BuzzFeed Books. Authors  Also featuring the winning entry of the 2017 Stella Kupferberg Memorial Short Story Contest.

 

Stories will include five original works commissioned by Selected Shorts and BuzzFeed Books by authors Danielle Evans (Before You Suffocate Your Own Fool Self), Alexandra Kleeman (You Too Can Have a Body Like Mine), Lincoln Michel (Upright Beasts), Tony Tulathimutte (Private Citizens), and Jenny Zhang (Dear Jenny, We Are All Find); as well as stories by Joyce Carol Oates, Lydia Davis, John Cheever, Ben Loory, Franz Kafka, Rebecca MakkaiPeter Orner, and more!
