Brooklyn-based Mil's Trills is a children's music project led by singer-songwriter Amelia Robinson, inviting families to celebrate the community through original tunes and a rotating cast of musical guests. Amelia charms audiences with richly layered and accessible songs (from acclaimed albums Everyone Together Now and Now That We're Friends) and her enchanting voice. At this highly interactive show, Amelia encourages the audience to be part of the experience while discovering a world of instruments. Kids will join the band onstage to "paint the sound" and create a visual montage of the songs they hear, while others "paint music with ribbons."
Amelia Robinson is a Suzuki-trained musician in piano and voice. Robinson’s background in music theory shines through in richly layered and musically complex songs that are both accessible and unique. Mil’s Trills has been invited to perform at prominent venues, including Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, Brooklyn Museum, Tribeca Film Festival, Children’s Museum of Manhattan, 92Y Tribeca, JCC, South Street Seaport with Sesame Street’s Gordon and Elmo, and Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland.
