NY Chamber Music Festival

1985

Rapidly earning a reputation as a "young pianist who captivates" with his "distinctive lyricism," and "immaculate technique", Konstantin Soukhovetski keeps garnering accolades in the press. "Supremely accomplished..." exclaimed The Independent after his 2011 Wigmore Hall debut in London, while The New York Times reported that he "brought the audience to its feet" in Alice Tully Hall.

Celebrating the centennial of Jules Massenet (1842-1912), Konstantin Soukhovetski performs the world premiere of his own piano transcription of the St. Sulpice scene from Massenet's opera Manon. He pairs this with the New York premiere of his own piano transcription of the opera Capriccio by Richard Strauss. Opera and piano lovers, rejoice!
