The historic Joffrey Ballet School, founded by Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino, comes to Symphony Space for the first time. The Joffrey Ballet School Summer Ballet Intensive Performance will present new works from world renowned choreographers and repertoire works from master choreographers like Gerald Arpino. The Joffrey Ballet School's ballet intensive is a pre-professional dance program geared for the most talented of dancers and has a long history of it's graduates continuing on to dance with professional ballet and modern companies as well as staring on Broadway, film and television, with some JBS graduates receiving Grammy, Tony and Academy awards.
