Come to Singers Space at Bar Thalia, hosted by D'Ambrose Boyd with David Pearl at the piano. Where New York's finest professional and aspiring singers come to sing their favorites and hear their peers perform before an intimate audience. Bar Thalia offers cocktails, wine & beer, soups, salads, wraps and desserts. There's no cover and no minimum.
Each Monday night a guest vocalist stars in the Feature Spot, an extended 20-minute showcase for their talents.
Before and after the Feature Spot, other performers sing their current favorites during the open mic spots. D'Ambrose presides over the fun and fabulous music. David provides solid, sensitive accompaniment and sprinkles solo piano gems throughout the evening. It's a classy way for singers and listeners to enjoy a great variety of songs and song stylists. D'Ambrose Boyd -As a performer has shared the stage with such luminaries as Eartha Kitt, Mickey Rooney, Brenda Braxton, Ken Page, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Frank Langella, to name a few. He has been on the boards of many Broadway, off-Broadway, Regional and European theaters. Some favorite performances include: Ain't Misbehavin', Wizard of Oz, Five Guys Named Moe, A Christmas Carol, Babes in Toyland and Wall to Wall Broadway: A Century of Musical Theater. He can be heard on many cast recordings and voice-overs for NICKELODEON. He has worked with Symphony Space as an educating artist for over 12 years. He is a proud member of AEA and Local 764.

David Pearl- has performed in many of New York’s premiere venues (Rainbow Room, Café Sabarsky, Joe’s Pub, Symphony Space) and collaborates frequently with musicians in the jazz, classical and cabaret community. He has been awarded grants from the New York State Council on the Arts to perform solo piano recitals, and his musical arrangements and transcriptions are published and performed regularly. He is the author of Piano Exercises For Dummies, The Jazz Piano Collection, The Art of Steely Dan, and The Art of Billy Strayhorn.
