Cutting Edge Concerts New Music Festival 2011 is proud to present the world premiere of Folk Songs by rising star Hannah Lash, performed by the extraordinary new music trio known as MAYA, consisting of Sato Moughalian, flute; Bridget Kibbey, harp and John Hadfield, percussion. Acclaimed composer Peter Schickele will speak with host Victoria Bond about the NY premiere of his Music for Orcas Island, performed by violinist Renee Jolles, violist Daniel Panner, cellist Maxine Neuman, and pianist Kathleen Supove. The celebrated composer and bassist Jon Deak will be on hand for Bye Bye, performed by Sato Moughalian and Kathleen Supove who will also play Righteous Babe by Randy Woolf. The program will close with Laurie Anderson's landmark video Hidden Inside Mountains.
