Joshua Roman, cello; Evelyne Luest, piano. Described as one of the outstanding young cellists of our
time, Seattle-based Roman performs great contemporary classics by Carter and
Britten, and premieres by Aaron Jay Kernis, Ned Rorem, Lisa
Bielawa, Teddy Goldman, Joel Friedman and Dan Visconti. Called a “Classical Rock Star”, Roman has distinguished himself by his extraordinary command of the cello and his widely varied repertoire. Evelyne Luest is pianist with the Contrasts
Quartet and has performed as soloist and chamber musician in Europe, South
America, Asia and the U.S to great critical acclaim.
