Join Symphony Space in St. Petersburg, Russia this Thanksgiving!
Symphony Space is planning an international trip for patrons to attend a performance of Artistic Director Laura Kaminsky’s Piano Concerto, just awarded the prestigious Koussevitzky Music Foundation-Library of Congress commission award, featuring Ursula Oppens as soloist with the St. Petersburg Chamber Philharmonic. In addition to attending this world premiere concert, travelers will visit the Hermitage Arts Museum, take a backstage tour and attend a performance at the Mariinsky Theatre, and tour the great palaces of Peter and Catherine the Great, as well as St. Petersburg’s renowned “house museums,” the former homes of Dostoevsky, Pushkin, and Shostakovich, among others.
Travelers will stay in the beautiful Grand Hotel Europe, which is surrounded by some of the world’s greatest cultural treasures. 301 sumptuously appointed rooms and suites convey an elegance unseen since the days of the Tsars, when Dostoevsky and Strauss were frequent visitors.
The trip will take place from Tuesday, November 22 to Monday, November 28. For more information and to receive a detailed itinerary and registration form, call Rebecca Ackerman at 212.864.1414 x286 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
