Some of today’s most acclaimed writers take the stage to read from their favorite literary works in an unforgettable celebration of book publisher Doubleday’s 125th birthday. In this special event, authors Helen Ellis, David Grann, Kevin Kwan, Jane Mayer, Colson Whitehead, and Hanya Yanagihara perform readings of their favorite works across Doubleday's storied history (see their selections below). The evening ends with the entire group on stage to reminisce about their first books, discuss their own writing, and reflect on the influence that 125 years of Doubleday writers have had on their craft.

David Grann reads from The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1930)

Jane Mayer reads from The Jungle by Upton Sinclair (1906)
