When can I come to the box office to purchase tickets in person? Which box office should I go to? I want to order my tickets by phone. When can I call? Do you mail my tickets to me? Is there a fee to order tickets? How may I pay for my tickets? Can you hold seats for me? You say my sale is final. What does that mean? Do I get my money back if a show is cancelled? Can I add more tickets to my order later? Where and when do I pick up my tickets? Will you sell my seats if I don't arrive at the theatre on time? What happens if I cannot attend due to the weather? What happens if the originally listed performer cannot attend? When can I come to the box office to purchase tickets in person? The box office windows are open in the main lobby of Peter Norton Symphony Space Tues-Sun from Noon to 7pm. Summer Box Office Hours (Independence Day through Labor Day) are Tues-Sun Noon to 6pm. The Leonard Nimoy Thalia box office window opens one hour prior to curtain when there is a show (the main lobby box office may be used at other times). If a show falls on a Monday, the box office will be open regular hours. There are no advance sales one hour preceding any show. Box office windows remain open on the night of a show until one half hour after curtain. Which box office should I go to? The main lobby box office may be used at all times for either theatre except for the following: one hour before an event at the Leonard Nimoy Thalia, the Box Office on 95th Street will open, and all sales and will-call for that event will take place at that Box Office only. I want to order my tickets by phone. When can I call? You may reach our box office personnel at 212.864.5400, Tues - Sun from 11am until 7pm. Tickets ordered at least 2 weeks in advance of the event will be mailed to you at your billing address. All other orders will be held at the box office. The order must include the performance name, date and time; the number of tickets requested; your name, address and phone number; and your credit card number and expiration date. Ticket orders may also be mailed to us at Symphony Space Box Office, 2537 Broadway, New York, NY 10025. If paying by personal check or money order, your order must be received a minimum of two weeks before the event. May I purchase tickets online? Tickets for all events are available online by clicking here or at www.tickets.com. All online ticket purchases are subject to a per-ticket convenience fee in addition to a $2.50 handling fee. Tickets ordered at least 2 weeks in advance of the event will be mailed to you at your billing address. All other orders will be held at the box office. You must show your credit card or photo I.D. at the box office to pick up your tickets. How do I order student tickets? If there is a published student price for an event, those tickets will be available for purchase in person at the box office ONLY, with presentation of a valid college I.D. Do I need to buy a ticket for my child? All children age 1 and older must have a paid ticket. Are there special discounts for groups? Symphony Space is the perfect place to bring your group to experience exciting and adventurous programming. For many events we offer group discounts for groups of ten people or more. For group sales of events produced by Symphony Space, please call 212.864.5400. For events presented at Symphony Space but produced by other organizations, you must contact that organization directly. Please note that seats for group sales will not be reserved until payment is received. The box office will not mail tickets purchased at a group rate. The group contact person must pick up the tickets at the Symphony Space box office. If tickets are to be picked up the night of the performance, the group contact person must pick up all tickets to distribute to group members. Group members cannot pick up tickets individually. Is there a fee to order tickets? All phone, fax and mail orders include a handling fee of $2.50 per ticket. There is no fee if you purchase tickets in person at the box office window. All internet orders include both a $2.50 handling fee and a per-ticket charge. How may I pay for my tickets? We accept cash, American Express, Visa and MasterCard. Personal checks are only accepted with mail orders, and must be received a minimum of two weeks before the event. We charge a $35 fee for bounced checks. Can you hold seats for me? Seats cannot be held without payment. The only way to reserve a ticket is to purchase it, and that sale is final. You say my sale is final. What does that mean? There are no refunds, exchanges or cancellations allowed. We cannot refund your money due to loss, theft, illness or schedule conflicts. We cannot change your tickets to another performance of an event, and once the payment has been processed, we cannot move your tickets from one location in the theatre to another. Tax credits are not given for tickets donated back to the theatre, except for Selected Shorts subscription tickets donated at least 24 hours in advance. Once you hang up the phone or walk away from the window, the sale is complete and final. Do I get my money back if a show is cancelled? Of course! If you paid by credit card your ticket money will be credited automatically. Handling fees are not returned. If you paid by cash or check, check with the box office for details on how to obtain a refund. Can I add more tickets to my order later? You may purchase additional tickets after your initial order, however we cannot guarantee that these seats will be next to the seats previously purchased. We strongly suggest that you know the total number of people in your party before ordering tickets, as all sales are final. Where and when do I pick up my tickets? Tickets ordered by phone, internet, fax or mail may be picked up at the box office window anytime after the order is completed. We strongly suggest you arrive at the theatre to pick up your tickets at least half an hour before curtain on the night of the show. Only the credit card holder may pick up the tickets. You must present the credit card used at the box office window. Will you sell my seats if I don't arrive at the theatre on time? Once you purchase tickets, those tickets are yours. They will still be waiting for you, regardless of when you show up, and guarantee admission to the theatre as the performance allows. Latecomers will be admitted/seated at the discretion of the house manager. Reserved seat locations are not guaranteed past curtain time. What happens if I cannot attend due to the weather? If the show is not cancelled then no refunds or exchanges will be issued. In the case of a severe snow or ice storm, you should call the box office at 212.864.5400 for information regarding possible cancellation. If the voice-mail system is on, choose Today's Event in the Box Office menu for any information regarding cancellation. What happens if the originally listed performer cannot attend? All artists are subject to change. From time to time a performer may have to withdraw due to conflicting projects and will be replaced with another performer. No refunds will be given in this instance. |
