Founded in 1998 by Artistic Director and choreographer Chris Elam, Misnomer's work explores tenderness, humor, and absurdity in peoples' efforts to relate to one another, creating characters whose exchanges are filled with poignant and awkward tenderness, and at other moments fiercely dismal misunderstandings.

Underground tap-dance icon Roxane Butterfly is joined by a stellar cast of tap artists, including French Guiana native and Urban Tap founder Tamango, to pay homage to her mentor, tap-master Jimmy Slyde. The performasnce will also include excerpts from Butterfly's film Hoofalogies. While you watch the show, enjoy a glass of wine and a light evening meal in the intimate cabaret atmosphere of the Leonard Nimoy Thalia.
