American Composers Alliance Festival 2009
The American Composers Alliance continues it's Spring/Summer Festival series, which has grown since 2001 into to a multi-evening variety of composer concerts at Symphony Space Thalia, its beloved uptown concert venue home. This year, ACA celebrates its longtime alliance with Broadcast Music, Inc., with a concert of all-BMI music by some of ACA's finest composers of the past and present. ACA welcomes the Zukofsky Quartet, the Kolot Ensemble, the Parnas Duo, and many internationally-known soloists, including operatic Baritone, Jan Opalach and soprano Nicole Pantos. All five concerts this year feature rare world premieres of new chamber works by a variety of fascinating composers of all ages from around the United States. Special thanks to BMI, Proskauer-Rose, and the Alice M. Ditson Fund of Columbia University.
