The greatest musicians in the world play the stages at Peter Norton Symphony Space, and now you can enjoy them any time on Symphony Space Live, a new online audio series hosted by Laura Kaminsky, Symphony Space’s Curator of Music Programs. From the sounds of salsa and swing with Arturo O’Farrill’s Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra to the haunting indie-Persian melodies of the artist Haale, you can listen at your leisure to some of the most exciting artists that have graced our stages. Don’t forget to tune into our signature program Wall to Wall as it streams live, offering marathon musical entertainment from the world of opera, Broadway, classical and beyond.

The Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra - A New Perspective
Harkening back to the days when mambo was king, Arturo O'Farrill's Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra brings the power of the big band to greatest hits, including Machito's "Mambo America," Tito Puente's "Mas Bajo," Mario Bauza's "Sambia" plus music by rising stars Dafnis Prieto, Papo Vazquez and Tom Harrell.

Wall to Wall Opera - Program 1
Symphony Space's gift to the city for the past 29 years. This year's marathon explored the world of Western opera over the past 400 years, from Baroque to contemporary. Highlights included a Master Class in Bel Canto singing with legendary soprano, Renata Scotto, the Opera Matinee section, featuring the New York City Opera Orchestra conducted by Gerald Steichen, members of the Metropolitan Opera’s Young Artists Program.

Lhasa and Devotchka
