Kaye Gibbons talks about her long awaited sequel to the beloved favorite Ellen Foster.

KAYE GIBBONS is the author of seven bestselling novels. Her first novel, Ellen Foster, was awarded the Sue Kaufman Prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and a special citation from the Ernest Hemingway Foundation, as well as the Louis D. Rubin Writing Award. The Novel, as well us  A Virtuous Woman was chosen for Oprah's Book Club. For A Cure for Dreams, Gibbons received a 1990/PEN Revson Award for the best work of fiction published by an American writer under thirty-five years of age. Her other novels are Charms for the Easy Life, Divining Women and, most recently, the sequel to Ellen Foster, the life all around me by Ellen Foster.  Ms. Gibbons is a recipient of the Oklahoma Homecoming Award and a member of the Fellowship of Southern Writers. She lives in New York City and Raleigh, North Carolina.

ANDERA MARCOVICCI   is currently performing her cabaret show "Andrea Sings Astaire" at the Oak Room of the Algonquin Hotel.  Ms. Marcovicci has created over twenty night-club acts, sold out Carnegie Hall and appeared at the White House.  Her concert work includes appearances with numerous theatres, clubs and Symphonies as well as the Millennium Celebration with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Last year, she served as Director and Artistic Director for Easy to Love, The Lyrics of Cole Porter and Kurt Weill in America at the 92^nd Street Y as part of the Lyrics and Lyricists program.  She starred on Broadway in Any Given Day by Frank Gilroy, and performed Off-Broadway in The Wedding o Variety Obit and The Seagull.   Her many film credits include The Front with Woody Allen and The Hand with Michael Caine.  She has thirteen CDs to her credit and a new recording label, Andreasong.

  ELISSA SCHAPPELL  is the author of the novel use Me, which was a finalist for the PEN/Hemingway Award. She is also co-editor with Jenny Offill of the anthology The Friend Who Got Away, and the forthcoming Money Changes Everything.
