+ About the Performance
This program was recorded 05/11/2013 at Symphony Space.

This is the third of four 3-hour blocks of Wall to Wall Harlem Resonance, a day-long journey, through the heyday of the Harlem Renaissance to the vibrant cultural scene thriving in Harlem today. This block focused on the literary tradition of Harlem, featuring performers from Urban Word NYC, actors Francois Battiste, Brandon Dirden, Adriane Lenox, and others performing the works of great Harlem poets and authors, and the group Mighty Third Rail putting their own spin on the works of Duke Ellington, Langston Hughes, and Gil Scott-Heron.
