KELLY BARNHILL is the author of The Mostly True Story of Jack; Iron Hearted Violet, for which she received a Parents’ Choice Gold Award; and most recently, The Witch’s Boy, which was named a Best Book of 2014 by The Washington Post, Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, and the Chicago Public Library. She has received writing fellowships from the Jerome Foundation and the Minnesota State Arts Board, and was recently named a 2015 McKnight Writing Fellow in Children’s Literature.

MICHAEL BUCKLEY’s debut series The Sisters Grimm was a New York Times bestseller and received the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award and the Kirkus Reviews Best Fantasy Book. He is also the author of the bestselling N.E.R.D.S. series and Kel Gilligan’s Daredevil Stunt Show. Buckley is one-half of the creative team behind Cartoon Network’s Robotomy, and his most recent novel, Undertow, was released earlier this year.

RITA WILLIAMS-GARCIA’s Newbery Honor-winning novel, One Crazy Summer, was a winner of the Coretta Scott King Award, a National Book Award finalist, the recipient of the Scott O’Dell Award for Historical Fiction, and a New York Times bestseller. The sequel, P.S. Be Eleven, was also a Coretta Scott King Award winner. She is also the author of Jumped, a National Book Award finalist; No Laughter Here; Every Time a Rainbow Dies; Fast Talk on a Slow Track; Blue Tights; and Like Sisters on the Homefront, a Coretta Scott King Honor Book. She recently served on the National Book Award Committee for Young People’s Literature and is a faculty member in the Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA Writing for Children and Young Adults Program.

ADAM GIDWITZ is the author of bestselling children’s books A Tale Dark and Grimm, In a Glass Grimmly, and The Grim Conclusion. He has also written a retelling of Star Wars for young readers. A Tale Dark and Grimm was named a New York Times Editor’s Choice, a Publishers Weekly Best Children’s Book of the Year, a School Library Journal Best Children’s Book of the Year, and an ALA Notable Book. He attended Columbia University, graduating with a degree in English Literature, and has taught at St. Ann’s school in Brooklyn.

DANIEL JOSÉ OLDER is the author of the upcoming young adult novel Shadowshaper and the Bone Street Rumba urban fantasy series. Publishers Weekly hailed him as a “rising star of the genre” after the publication of his debut ghost noir collection, Salsa Nocturna. He co-edited the anthology Long Hidden: Speculative Fiction from the Margins of History and guest-edited the music issue of Crossed Genres. His short stories and essays have appeared in, Salon, BuzzFeed, the New Haven Review, PANK, Apex, Strange Horizons, and the anthologies Subversion and Mothership: Tales Of Afrofuturism and Beyond.

DAV PILKEY is the author and illustrator of numerous books including the Captain Underpants series, which has been translated into more than twenty languages, and has sold over 70 million copies worldwide. His other books include the Dumb Bunnies series; the Ricky Ricotta’s Mighty Robot series; the Big Dog and Little Dog series; Dog Breath, winner of the California Young Reader Medal; and The Paperboy, a Caldecott Honor Book. His book The Adventures of Super Diaper Baby debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list, and in 2007, Captain Underpants won a Disney Adventures Kids’ Choice Award.

JON SCIESZKA is well known for his collaborations with illustrator Lane Smith on books such as The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales, The True Story of the Three Little Pigs, Math Curse, and Squids Will Be Squids, as well as his own series Time Warp Trio, Spaceheadz, and Frank Einstein. He also is the founder of Guys Read and the editor of the Guys Read book series, which includes Guys Read: Thriller; Guys Read: Other Worlds; and Guys Read: Funny Business. In 2008, Jon was named the nation’s first National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature by the Librarian of Congress.
