A collective of Colombian-born, New York-based musicians pay homage to the Afro-Colombian folkloric music that has given birth to cumbia, and serves as the basis and inspiration for their various contemporary bands (MAKU Sound System, La Cumbiamba Eneye, Dilema Astronauta, and Rebolu). They explore the music in its most traditional format: three drums, two gaita flutes, a maraca and vocals.

Part of WMI's Global Salon series - Extraordinary artists sharing their work and stories in an intimate, informal setting.
