NY Chamber Music Festival

1632

In a program of exquisite rarities, Metropolitan Opera musicians perform chamber music by two little known French composers: René de Castéra (1873-1955), a student of d'Indy and Albeniz at the Schola Cantorum de Paris, and Emile Goué (1904-1946), who created many of his works at the German prison-camp Oflag XB. The works featured in this program offer a great chance to hear magnificent music by unfamiliar French composers, performed by MET Opera musicians.
