A Concert for Broadway, sponsored by the Broadway Mall Association, will feature performances by the Ballet Hispanico BHdos, Trio Cavatina, Anthony McGill, Natasha Paremski, and members of the Porgy and Bess 75th Anniversary Tour Worldwide, Terry Cook, Lawrence Craig, Camellia Johnson and Indira Mahajian.
Proceeds will be used to support the Broadway Mall Association's horticultural and community programs, public art exhibitions and winter lighting.
The evening's program is dedicated to the institutions that gave the artists their start. The Walter W. Naumburg Foundation, Mannes College, The New School of Music, Ballet Hispanico, and The Mozart Academy are all represented in the evening's program, which will close with highlights from Porgy and Bess performed in honor of Betty Allen, the late director of the Harlem School of the Arts.
