Young Dancemakers Company presents an exciting free concert of original choreography created and performed by a city-wide ensemble of today's urban teens... tomorrow's dance artists! The concert's variety of vital themes are topical, relevant, mindful, fun and witty, and include live percussion. Also featured are excerpts of repertory works by world-renowned choreographers Robert Battle and Sean Curran. And Dance With Us: post-performance lively dance-making with the audience on-the-spot. For children ages 8 and up, teens, and adults. The concert, directed by Alice Teirstein, with Music Director William Catanzaro, will be presented for neighborhood groups, from United Neighborhood Houses, city-wide.
