Solo Spotlights from the Ensemble is a special concert presented by world-renowned concert violinist Nina Beilina (founder and artistic director) and the devoted musicians of Bachanalia. Joining Ms. Beilina as the evening's host and guest narrator is author and radio personality, Robert Sherman. The concert will explore the language of orchestration as an elaborative force, beginning with Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite No. 1 in G Minor, for solo cello and developing into Astor Piazzolla's Tango Ballet for chamber orchestra. Along the way will be works by Georg Friedrich Handel for string duo and David Amram, for solo violin and string quintet. Included in the performance will be the world premier of a work for violin and piano by Jakov Jakoulov.
